For me, it is interesting to do a little investigation into the background of what I am reading. I found the author of Matthew is attributed by some to Matthew the Apostle, who had been a tax collector and became one of the twelve apostles. I find this interesting because tax collectors were not known for being moral, kind individuals.

Wow, what interesting passages to start off 2026! As I read these Scriptures, I continued to be astounded at the details in which God shows himself.

I am not sure how many of you reading this still have Christmas décor up—maybe you want to linger in the festivities, maybe you are too busy to organize it and put it away, maybe you sustained an injury and cannot haul everything to the basement or attic.

I can’t believe it’s time to reflect on another year at SoGF! Looking back, it seems that we packed so much into 2025.

Thank you to everyone who invited friends and family to our church this year. We welcomed more visitors than ever before, and we hope they heard about the saving power of a relationship with Jesus and how His grace covers everything.
