  • This week’s reading was Job 10-15, but let’s back up a bit to review some important passages in Job 4-6.

Job 4:1—Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said: “If anyone attempts a word with you, will you become weary?”

  • Now that we have ended with Proverbs, we will begin with Job.

Let’s start with chapter 1. This book has an unknown author and is the book most widely used to talk negatively about God's nature & character.  I think most people know the premise of this book.

  • Good morning, I hope my Father’s words echo in your soul today.

Proverbs 29:2 starts us off with, "But when the righteous are in authority, people rejoice; But when wicked men rules, the people groan.” In its true sense, the word “righteous” means as it should be (also meaning as God has established something the way He intended it).

  • Proverbs 23: I love how this book of wisdom starts off with, "When you sit down to eat with a ruler, consider carefully what is before you; put a knife to your throat if you are a man given to appetite.

  • I believe most Christians know the book of Proverbs is a book about wisdom. I believe it is so much more than that, especially made clear in the passages in Proverbs 17 through 20.
