NEW TO OUR CHURCH?
NEW TO OUR CHURCH?
Learn more about how we can help you grow closer to Jesus.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our doors open a little before 9 am so we can enjoy time as a community in our coffee shop before our service that starts at 10. If you’re new, please stop by the Welcome Booth--we have a special gift for you, including a free beverage at our Great Awakening coffee shop.
Some people like to get dressed up fancy for Sundays. Some people want to come in the same way they’d dress to have a friend come over. Some people don’t really think about what they wear. And all of those approaches are fine. We invite you to come as you are. We want you to look around and know that you can say with confidence, “I belong here.”
“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
John 13:35 (NLT)
WHO SHOULD BE A MEMBER OF OUR CHURCH?
Our church is a community of people who are all in different stages in life, but we’re all just regular people. Businessmen. Teachers. Parents. Cashiers. Unemployed. Addicts. Students. Sinners.
We don’t expect you to be a perfect person, but we hope that you experience God’s grace through the testimonies you’ll hear and through His presence with us when we gather together.
“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
Romans 12:4-5
WHY SHOULD WE BE PART OF A LOCAL CHURCH?
The Bible tells us that the church has been ordained by God, a fellowship of the flawed, to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. It teaches that the church is a vitally important part for growing in Christ. Like a branch that grows because of its connection to the tree, we thrive when we stay connected to the church.
We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the world around us. We hope you’ll see that in the way we interact with each other, and with those in our community. We hope you’ll see that in our ministries – but if you don’t, we want to know. We want to help.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
