I believe most Christians know the book of Proverbs is a book about wisdom. I believe it is so much more than that, especially made clear in the passages in Proverbs 17 through 20.
Proverbs 11 reminds us that living with integrity and righteousness brings rewards, while dishonesty and egotism lead to ruin. Verse 4 says, “Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.”
In Proverbs 5, Solomon warns his son about the “immoral woman.” While her lips are as sweet as honey and her mouth smoother than oil, she is dangerous. She is careless and blindly staggers down a crooked path leading to death. Solomon warns all his sons to stay away from her.
