The crossing of the Jordan River and the victory over Jericho remind us that God can do the impossible when we follow His instructions. At the same time, Achen’s sin teaches us that disobedience has consequences and can affect others. These chapters encourage me to trust God‘s guidance, remain obedient, and remember that His faithfulness is greater than any obstacle we face in both small and large matters. They remind us to examine our own hearts regularly and place our confidence in God’s power rather than our own abilities.
